Dear Students,

We hope that you have been preparing well for your upcoming final exams. We understand that these are challenging times, and we want you to know that we are here to support you in every way we can. At the Fiji National University, we believe in fostering a community where each student has the opportunity to succeed, and we are committed to working with you to make that a reality.

We understand that financial burdens can sometimes create stress and uncertainty, especially when it comes to overdue fees. To address this, we are introducing a new measure aimed at easing the financial strain on our students.

Starting immediately, we are willing to permit students to take their exams, even if they have outstanding fees, by Obtaining a Guarantee from a FNU Staff Member.

This designated staff member will play a crucial role in endorsing an authorisation for deductions, allowing our Finance department to initiate payroll deductions to cover your overdue fees. This step is designed to provide a manageable solution for those facing financial difficulties, and it exemplifies our commitment to your academic journey.

We understand that circumstances vary, and we are here to support you individually. If you find yourself in a situation where overdue fees are creating obstacles, we encourage you to reach out directly to our dedicated cashiers at any of our campuses or send us an email on RevenueQueries@fnu.ac.fj

We are here to assist you in securing the necessary guarantee and to help facilitate the authorisation process. Remember, as a part of the FNU family, you are not alone in this journey. We believe in your potential and your dreams, and we want to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder your progress. By working together, we can help you overcome these challenges and continue to excel in your studies. Please rest assured that we are here to provide you with the support and guidance you need. Feel free to reach out to your respective faculties or our Student Services team if you have any questions or require assistance.

Your dreams and aspirations are important to us, and we are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment. Let us face these challenges together as a united FNU family. Thank you for your dedication and hard work, and for choosing Fiji National University as your academic home. We believe in you, and we are here to help you succeed.

Wishing you the best in your exams and your academic pursuits.

Thank you.

Dear students,

I am carrying out a pilot survey in collaboration with Dr Bree Hobden – Research Fellow at the University of Newcastle, to explore the views and lived experiences of the Fiji National University students regarding the Sustainable Development Goals.

The information gathered from the survey will help to emphasise the importance of University-based research to have a profound impact on the progress of Sustainable Development Goals in Fiji. It will also inform university-led initiatives for the creation and implementation of Sustainable Development Goals solutions.

We are interested in assessing the level of support among the student body at the Fiji National University for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The topic of the survey is: Exploring Fiji National University students' views and experiences regarding United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Appreciate if you can click on the link below and complete the survey:
