Dear Staff & Students,

Please be advised that the Division of IT Services and the Flexible Learning & Teaching Enhancement (FLTE) Office will perform scheduled maintenance on the Moodle server.

Therefore, Moodle will not be available from Friday, 6th December 2024 at 5:00 pm to Thursday, 12th December 2024 at 5:00 pm. 

Moodle services and supporting learning systems such as Turnitin and Mahara will not be available during this period.

Site announcements -> Financial Hold - Non Payment of Fees

Dear Students,

This is a reminder regarding the payment of full fees for Semester 1 & Quarter 1/2024. The deadline for payment has been extended until 22/03/2024. Please note that failing to pay the full fees by this date will result in your student account being placed on financial hold, effective from 25/03/2024.

Under this financial hold, access to university services such as Moodle will be suspended, and you will not be permitted to sit for final exams until the fees are paid in full. The hold will only be lifted upon complete payment of fees.

Kindly be aware that the deadline for withdrawal without incurring charges for Semester 1 & Quarter 1 was on 23/02/2024.

We urge you to settle your full fees promptly to avoid any inconvenience or disruption to your academic progress.

Should you have any questions or require further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact the Revenue Department via email at RevenueQueries@fnu.ac.fj or visit the Finance office at your nearest FNU campus.

Dear Students,

 We hope this message finds you well. We want to emphasize the critical importance of regularly checking your FNU student email account. Your FNU email is not just another inbox; it's your gateway to staying informed, engaged, and successful in your academic journey.

 Here are a few reasons why checking your FNU email is crucial:

  • Official Communication - The university will send important updates, announcements, and academic/finance (invoice) information exclusively to your student email.
  • Coursework - The lecturer may use your student email for assignments, announcements, and sharing course materials.
  • Access to IT Services – Student password request is usually sent to student email account where student can access and retrieve their new Banner/PC Login/Moodle login credentials.
  • Collaboration - Many group projects and university-related collaborations are organized through student emails.

 To collect or confirm your FNU student email details, simply visit your campus IT office during their regular hours. If you already have your email details, ensure you check your inbox regularly.

The CTE Survey has commenced on your Moodle dashboard. While your feedback is valued and anonymous, it will:

  • provide you the opportunity to voice your concerns and tell us what works well regarding the courses and its delivery.
  • help the University understand whether your lecturer/instructor is teaching to a satisfactory standard.
  • help the University assess how resources are allocated to yield the greatest benefit to you as students.
  • help the University identify how well Labs/Practicals/Workshops are incorporated into teaching practices.

The CTE survey is available on your Moodle dashboard next to each of your course page links for the quarter. Click "Attempt Survey" and proceed with your survey responses. Once completed, click, "Submit".

Survey Date for Quarter 3: 7th August to 8th September, 2023.
