This course will provide you with basic knowledge pertaining to general microbiology, basic information on Bacteriology, mycology and parasitology in the first semester. In the second semester you will learn about medically important viruses and serological principles and their application in the diagnosis of infectious diseases. In the practical aspect of microbiology you will learn aseptic procedures, isolation and identification of microorganisms, quality control and overlapping areas on immunology, epidemiology and molecular technology.
